This is the first issue of AI in Practice, and it exists to answer three questions: who we are, why we're writing this, and what you'll get if you subscribe. Let's take them in order.
Who is Attri?
Attri is an AI consulting and engineering firm. In plain terms: companies come to us with a business problem, and we design, build, and deploy the AI solution that solves it, end to end, inside the tools and systems their teams already use.
We work with organizations across industries, legal, healthcare, insurance, financial services, and beyond, and while every industry has its own language and rules, the underlying question we get asked is almost always the same:
"We know AI can transform how we work. How do we actually do it?"
That question is what this newsletter is built around.
Why "AI in Practice"?
Because there's a real gap between AI in theory and AI in practice, and almost all the content out there lives on the theory side.
You've seen it: the predictions, the model announcements, the demos that look like magic in a sixty-second clip. What's much harder to find is a clear, honest account of what happens when AI meets an actual business, real workflows, real systems, and real people who have a job to do.
That's where we spend our weeks. Building AI has become the easy part; making it work inside a company, connected to your data, embedded in your processes, trusted by your team, is where the actual transformation happens. This newsletter is our field notes from that side of the gap.
What we'll write about
Every week, one member of our team, each of us closest to a different corner of this work, will bring you one practical idea about putting AI to work. No hype, no jargon, no sales pitch. Expect topics like:
How AI transforms day-to-day work. What it looks like, concretely, when AI takes over the repetitive parts of a role, the searching, the re-keying, the summarizing, the follow-ups, and gives a team its hours back.
Automating internal and external processes. How organizations are using AI to streamline the processes inside their walls (approvals, reporting, knowledge sharing) and the ones that face outward (intake, communication, service).
The building blocks, explained simply. Concepts like knowledge search, letting your team ask questions in plain language and get answers from your own documents and data, with sources attached, explained in terms of what they do for you, not how the math works.
What we're learning in the field. The patterns we see across companies: where AI adoption stalls, what the organizations getting real value do differently, and how to make your first AI initiative your first AI win.
How to think about AI adoption. Where to start, what to automate first, when to build versus buy, and how to measure whether any of it is working.
Whatever your industry, whatever your role, if part of your job is figuring out what AI should mean for your organization, this newsletter is written for you.
What to expect
One issue a week. One idea per issue. Written in plain language, short enough to read with your coffee, and always aimed at the same goal: helping you move from talking about AI to putting it into practice.
Subscribe so each issue reaches you, and follow Attri on LinkedIn, between issues, that's where we share what we're building, including demos and walkthroughs of solutions in action.
We're glad you're here. See you next week, in practice.
